Solidsteel Audio Tables
Since their introduction in 1991, Solidsteel audio tables have
established a new level of technical and aesthetic refinement for audio
and video component support and isolation.
Solidsteel S3 Series
Drawing from the prestigious Hyperspike
technology, we have created this new S3 Series. The solid and essential
structure provides excellent audio performances and its modularity
allows you to enhance and customize the space between the shelves. The
clean lines also can make a very pleasent aestethic result. Stem in
painted aluminium and filled with special damping material for a good
“tune” with the shelves. The mdf shelves have 30mm (1,18 inch) of
thickness.

Series HS Hyperspike Series
The new Hyperspike Series by Solidsteel gives
a reassuring air of professionalism and reliability befitting the
object it’s designed to accommodate.
It is a “technical” series, where the aesthetic lies in the functional choices, such as the harmony of geometrical relationships, the chromatic contrast between surfaces and the overall finish of its many parts. All the materials selected are of excellent quality, welded with maximum care and the most sophisticated machinery.
It is a “technical” series, where the aesthetic lies in the functional choices, such as the harmony of geometrical relationships, the chromatic contrast between surfaces and the overall finish of its many parts. All the materials selected are of excellent quality, welded with maximum care and the most sophisticated machinery.
The structural concept of the Hyperspike Series
is functional, simple in design and effective. It consists of an MDF
Light shelf (a specific type of Medium Density Fibreboard, very solid
mechanically and acoustically), finished by a strong modern-looking
gloss finish (available in white or black) or a special black rubberized
varnish. Each type of finish offers sound absorbing and non-scratch
properties. The shelf consists of a quadrangular design, noticeably
rounded without corners forming a smooth, graceful profile that gives
continuity to its aesthetic and practical features. The shelf is 30mm
thick, 550mm deep at its maximum point (front to back) and 650mm wide;
capable of accommodating most audio and A/V components including
High-End products, which often cannot be accommodated by the industry
standard 19-inch component size.
The three pillar design is geometrically positioned to give maximum support and minimum physical contact with the surrounding environment. The rack stems are made of high quality solid steel rods, polished by a state of the art process giving a smooth and shimmering finish. In order to provide the necessary modular structure, the frames comprise a central segment of variable length to meet diverse requirements, to which are attached the other elements that make up the rest of the support mechanism. Adding to the technical composition are securing screws, insulating spikes (very strong, beautifully welded, adjustable, strong locking with a clamping screw) and decoupling pads, also made of solid steel. Amongst the elements to be assembled are rubber o-rings, similar to a piston ring with the purpose of improving the fit while reducing the transmission of mechanical energy. This is the Hyperspike Vibration Free System, designed by Solidsteel.
The Hyperspike Series is the only range out of the Solidsteel catalogue of products capable of being stacked, with modular kits available that can be assembled according to the client’s need. The Hyperspike Series offers a multitude of solutions thanks to its upgrade kits.

Series HJ Hyperspike Series
If the aim of the
Hyperspike Series is to achieve new goals in performance, excellence in
workmanship materials used while offering solutions to audio system
designs, then the very latest Hyperspike Junior combines this
distinction with convenience, thanks to a well thought out cost control
analysis that makes it possible to keep the overall performance at a
very high level yet.
The Hyperspike Junior Series incorporates the main mechanical characteristics and materials of the “no compromise” reference level Hyperspike range but at a fraction of the cost. The pillars are made of solid, polished steel and the shelves from 30mm thick MDF Light.
The containment in costs for the HJ Series has been achieved by simplifying some elements. The shelves are of a simpler design, with parallel sides making it easier and less costly to manufacture.
The decoupling spikes though without o-rings, remains threaded and adjustable. Finally, the finishing of the shelves, available only in embossed black, is very functional and aesthetically neutral. The Solidsteel Hyperspike Junior Series isolation rack was designed to provide reference level support for your audio system without the price tag.

Learn more about Solidsteel:
"Since their introduction in 1991, Solidsteel audio tables have
established a new level of technical and aesthetic refinement for audio
and video component support and isolation.
The company was founded by two men with diverse backgrounds but the same goal: to build a truly high-end hi-fi table.
One was the president of a firm distributing many top audio lines in Italy.
After a relatively short time, Solidsteel gained worldwide recognition for their advances in design and manufacturing techniques. The international press have universally praised the tables - and in some cases awarded them “best in class” - for the improvements they can make to an audio or audio/video system:
- “The Solidsteel...stands were both sonically splendid and very pleasant to look at - an unusual combination in an equipment stand. They worked flawlessly, performed admirably and looked lovely.” “Heartily recommended.”
Jack English - Stereophile (USA) Vol. 17
- “For loudspeakers of small and medium dimensions, the model SS-7 is without a doubt the best stand available in the world. Additionally, it’s beautiful.”
Bebo Moroni - Suono (Italy) n° 281
- 1997 Accessory of the Year: Solidsteel SS Stands Audio Land (Hong Kong)
- 1997 Recommended Components, The Best: Solidsteel SS-6 Stands. - Modern Audio (Taiwan)
The other had years of experience working for the renowned Italian motorcycle company Ducati. Solidsteel tables therefore reflect both an audiophile’s dedication and a true expertise in metalworking.
Solidsteel products are now available in more than 30 countries throughout Europe, Australasia and the Americas.
The Solidsteel line offers a choice of audio tables with four legs; horizontal A/V tables; stands and bases for speakers and power amplifiers; and also isolation accessories.
Our philosophy is that there should be no compromise in the build quality or benefits
to sonic performance, and that the products should reflect the Italian “style” of design: use of excellent materials; clean lines; well-considered utilisation of space; and attention to detail.
Specifically
- The tubular frames used in the tables, stands and bases are produced from steel and finished in anti-resonant paint.
- We reinforce this frame by inserting a crimped steel bar at the end of every tube.
- All spurious mechanical energies are discharged into the ground through height-adjustable spikes - produced from stainless steel - at the point where the table legs contact the floor. Excessive resonance is the enemy of good sound and video.
- The spikes are removable to allow the frame to be filled with sand, lead shot or other similar types of damping materials. This provides further “solidity” to the sound.
- The final assembly of each table is done by hand utilising a braze welding technique. This method makes use of a special brass solder with a high concentration of nickel alloy, resulting in a weld with an exceptional strength/weight ratio. Simply compare the quality of our welds to that of other tables to immediately see the difference.
- To minimise resonances, every shelf is supported on - and therefore isolated from - the frame by three duraluminium cones (or on polyurethane pads in the case of the Series Three) which are positioned to precisely discharge unwanted energies into the chassis and then, by design, into the ground.
Isolation through cones provides superb acoustic neutrality and also offers a new degree of flexibility: a user can, for example, fill the small troughs into which the cones are inserted with silicone of different viscosities, thereby changing the overall acoustic response of the table and the electronics it supports.
- All shelves (except those of the Series Three tables) are produced from high-density MDF and have the considerable thickness of 19 mm / 0.75 inch (or 30 mm / 1.2 inch on the models 6.3 and 6.4). The benefits of MDF include a much higher damping factor and superior rigidity over time.
- The shape of our cones is not just beautiful; it has been specially designed to achieve the maximum amount of sonic benefits. We also offer the cones as a separate option for those who want to improve their existing method of product support.
- The overall height of each table, and the distance between each shelf, has been carefully calculated to achieve an optimum balance of acoustics and aesthetics. But in the final analysis, performance always takes precedence."
